I have always been fascinated with the TV series ‘Come & Dine with me’ and now I want to bring it to our door steps, or should I say cooking utensils and let the true host rise to the top. If you are not familiar with the TV series, this is how it works: 

There are five people per group. Each person will take turns hosting a dinner party for the four other contestants through the week long competition, complete with a three course meal, drinks and entertainment. After each dinner party the guests will score the host with marks out of 10. The scores will be kept a secret until the final dinner party. The host with the highest score wins a prize and the Title – ‘Top Host’ for the group. It is that simple. To add to the fun in this Dubai version there are two categories for the competition: Couples and Individuals. The individual category has five people per round and the couples have four couples per round.

Rules: 

• You have to host a dinner party for all the contestants in your group 
• You have to supply the food and drinks for the evening 
• Everything has to be freshly prepared! No pre bought items or dishes
• The menu has to be 3 courses or more
• You have to send the full menu and theme to DPQ 3 days in advance of the actual event so we can share this with the dinner guests
• You will be scored by your fellow guests on Hosting/entertainment and food
• Your scores will be kept in a sealed jar by DPQ and will be revealed after the final dinner party
• The dinner parties run from Saturday – Thursday
• Winner is announced on Thursday night
• Registration fee is 250AED for individuals and 400AED for couples
• The order for the dinner party hosting will be done in alphabetical order or in order of names
